There are two research groups:

• The research group Algorithmic Arithmetic Geometry led by Prof. Dr. Michael Stoll studies various aspects of rational points on algebraic varieties, with a focus on algorithmic questions.
  
• The research group Coding Theory led by Dr. Michael Kiermaier focuses on algebraic coding theory.
